Absolutely! If not you'd be cutting all weekend. I take for granted some of the tools I have. Still need more though! I really need a seperate shop

If it weren't for his buddies cold circular saw it would of taken forever. I got there fri afternoon. We unloaded got the AG relocates tacked up pulled the bed, made templates for the frame plates, tacked some of them in place, removed all the brackets, welded up some of the 63 swap stuff and went to bed around 2 am. Woke up around 6 and got to work by the time the rest of the guys had gotten there we had been working for like 2 hrs. Truck wheeled out of the garage around 10 pm sat. We finished a few things up sat night and hit the hay around 1 am. Sun woke up around 7 loaded up did my CMR and swapped Chris' rear suspension I left around 1 pm sun. It was literally an almost 48 hr project and we had many hands on deck on sat. For a lot of sat we had 2 welders going for most of the day. Oh and we swapped a bedside I caved in and some other little items.

@boogie3478 filmed it on his YouTube channel. if you want to check it out.

My mom made my dad build his own garage for the motorcycles so she could park inside during the winter. Now he's got a big shop with AC, heated floors and can do whatever he wants out there.

The damn plasma cutter was a huge help. Honestly though @eccracer104 alot of it boiled down to planning. Skip and I talked about it for months. I won't even pretend to know as much about the suspension geometries as I should. It was hats off to Skip for all the research he did prior to the install. I helped where I could but most of my experience was with the simple stuff welding and fabricating. We had several other sets of hands and brains there to help us figure things out on Saturday also. I think the rear shackle mounts were tacked in like 4 times until we figured out the correct shackle angles and eventually had to change shackle lengths. It was a big project but could have been anightmare without all of Skips research.

Good thing there’s plenty of time for me to plan before I can buy anything haha.

Rad. All good to know. Definitely want everything positioned, angled, and done correctly before burning it on. Definitely don’t want to re-do a project like this because something was rushed.

    Hahaha got it!

Their garage attached to the house is smaller that your but it was stuffed to the gills with bikes, plus the basement.

Now his garage is stuffed again with shelves for the lighter ones

For pete's sake tack weld everything in place, suspension wise, and make sure it works before burning it in please. Cutting tack welds and relocating is much easier than dealing with full welds

Haha always fun. That’s what the thread is for anyways.

Definitely helpful! I had forgotten about 63 swaps to be honest. I’ll need to read up again, do some homework, prep work, save my pennies, and see if it’s the right route. Glad at least the leaf pack won’t be too pricey haha.

While I will be one of the first people to tell you I saw the flex bennifits with what we did I would also suggest looking into another option. Check out the Archive garage Hammer Hangers with some good Deaver leaf packs (or see what Eric comes up with for leaf packs he is going to put some out) and a shock relocate with some longer shocks. I have the Hammer hangers with deaver stage 3 packs and B110's. The 110's are the limitting factor here as they bottom out when the shackle is at about half rotation. I know others with about the same setup but with a relocate and longer shocks and the flex they get is rediculous. If you're curious PM me and I'll shoot you a name you can talk to. It's less work and not really any need to plate the frame although it's still a good idea if you're wheeling it hard. I don't crawl, my body just can't take it, so I have no need for all that flex.
