Has anyone ordered parts from ECG Fabrication?

I ordered the V3 Recessed grill on the 26th. Received an email a couple hours after my order was placed showing that the order had shipped by fedex, shipping label had been created and was going to arrive by July 3rd 2017 which was awesome since I was going to install and go on an overland cruise on the 4th. Unfortunately when the date came the product was not at my doorstep. When I looked up my tracking on the 3rd of July I found that the "shipping date" had been changed from July 3rd 2017 to pending status and label was still showing it was created.

Today is the 6th of July which is 10 days after quoted shipping date of the 26th and no update to my shipping status on FedEx website.

My question to everyone else is, have you had any issues with this company? Were you able to get a hold of them?

I have submitted, on ECG Fab's website, a contact comment and my contact info for them to contact me back about this issue. I have contacted them once before, 3 weeks ago, to inquire about customizing the grill but never heard anything back. When calling their phone number the phone doesn't ring and instead has a mail inbox full message. I PM messaged one of the companies reps on the forum here. So we shall see if I hear something back. If not I will be calling my CC company to dispute the purchase and will be buying a grill from another company.

Hey! Sorry about all of this - just saw your email as well. We just switched to that new number.

We're planning on completely re-designing the V3 insert you ordered, due to a tough installation. We're going to add a welded bezel and change the grille to 12 gauge aluminum - in the meantime I'd prefer not to sell the old version. I actually was about to send a full refund your way and explain everything. We're also going to discount all of our inventory and revamp our whole product line - I apologize for the lack of communication. As you may imagine things are a bit mixed up right now

You should see that money by the end of the night.

 

Is the newly designed grill the same look? Will the cost be the same or less? If I decide to wait is there anything that can be done about the shipping costs? I wish there was something on the website that showed everything you just sent as I would of not placed the order at the time and lost my hopes.

I just feel that the ball was dropped as the communication wasn't there until I posted and sent the email.

There was definitely a drop in communication on our part.

Essentially the same look, just with a new metal bezel instead of the OEM one, that will be fully TIG welded. And then the change to 12 gauge aluminum will have a more robust appearance and rust resistance versus the 16 gauge steel we're currently using, while weighing less.

The installation will be 1000x easier as well I'm not sure about the pricing yet - will hopefully have more information on that by early next week.

Any Updates to the new V3 Grills for the 3rd gen Taco Yet?
I still haven't received a charge back on my card either.

Priority has been on some simpler designs first, but I did get pricing info. Expecting them to be around $400.

 

had the same issue. about a year ago ordered a complete grill through them. My order was confirmed via email, and it said that within 48 hours i would get a shipping number. After about a week i hadn't gotten anything so i sent them an email. Another week passed, still nothing, kept calling, emailing etc. After about 3 weeks i finally got a response saying that they were in the process of putting together my grill and it would be shipped out in another week. So after another week (now 4 weeks after ordering) i still hadnt heard anything so i sent another email. After waiting another 4 days for a response i finally gave up and sent a follow up email wishing to cancel my order. They than took another 4 days to respond to my email to refund me.

 

I had some difficulties with the guy I hired to handle production. He has since been (recently) let go for obvious reasons.

 

Any info on when the new grill will be released?

I still haven't received my charge back on my credit card even though I received and email about it being charged back. Credit card company has no history of charge back.

 

Check below; I'm honestly not sure how you wouldn't haven't received it. It was drawn out of my account, proof below via the credit company and the hosting service for the online store...

Please give me a heads up when the new grill is finished. I am looking to order it as soon as you have a batch ready to go.

 

Website has been down for a few days now. Phone numbers go straight to an answering machine and can't leave any messages. I've tried to reach out via e-mail and through a message on here but there's been total radio silence. It's a shame as I was planning to buy a grill from them tomorrow.

 

Yeah unfortunately they don't have the best communication. They should def. hire someone into that position with the company. I'm not 100% sure the company is that large. However, I am grateful that they do eventually respond and don't brush me off. I have dealt with other companies that have done that.
