You can save a few bucks with billys in the back too. Thats what I use and they are fine. Its not like you and I a finesse drivers...lol I am going 35s this spring and it might entail new coils up front. If I swap them out I'll give you first crack at the 887s

Thanks homie. That's a good point, I only thought about OME in the back because I was thinking of eventually doing OME in the front. But I kinda just want to get this bitch lifted. I think Sliders may be my next purchase though. Your truck is gonna be a dog with 35s, you re gearing? and how wide of a tire you gonna run? I've been thinking about going 255/85 but that's a tertiary concern at the moment

315s and a re-gear to 4.88s. Actually it is already a dog, so I am re-gearing to 4.88s first. If I feel the new gearing is too high with th 33s, I will move up to 35s.

    255s freekin rock

SLiders before lift is a good idea IMHO. You already know you can wheel the snot out of that truck at the current height. Sliders and skids = freedom. Lift is nice, but not 100% necessary.

Still liking the ST Maax? I think I'm gonna pick up a set in the 255/80/17 flavor soon as my BFG KO2s have about 65k miles on them and they are expensive as hell.

Yes I do love those tires. They are THE best all around tire I think. They do well on rocks, in mud or snow and shine in the rain. Only thing is you will not get 65K out of them thats for sure. I think they are probably a 30 to 40k tire at best and thats with rotating every 3000 miles.

FUnny I was thinking about putting KO2 on the wifes FJ lol

I really like the ko2s. They have been great. I got a decent amount of miles out of them since I do 5 tire rotation. I want to go slightly larger than my current 275s, but don't really want 285s due to the amount of driving I do. Honestly if ko2s weren't so damn expensive I'd probably put 285s on.

I'm also doing the Northeast Overland Moose on the Loose this summer so iI'lneed a decent tire anyways and 255/80 St Maxx are like $30 less/ tire than my current 275/75 ko2

The other to look at might be the new falken wildpeaks. They are also priced much better than the BFGs. For a daily driver I think the KO2 is perfect. Quiet and smooth. Plus offroading I never had any issues, though I avoided mud.

How have the KO2s done in the snow? IDK if it's my tires or what but highway speeds in my taco are kinda loud

Great in the snow. I'd imagine in deep snow they wouldn't be as good. But in packed snow typical on the roads and not too deep they are awesome

Yup didn't have to do a thing. Using the stock 17" alloys. No rubbing at full lock/ compression either. They're a pretty good all around size. Put the side by side with 285s and it's near impossible to see a difference. Look from the back of the vehicle and the width difference is pretty noticable. Not as heavy as 285s, and only a few tenths smaller diameter.

They are pricey. Just checked it out. 230 a piece is a bit much.

Lift shouldn't make any difference. I had them on before I lifted briefly. I had 5100/ wheelers eibachs in front with 5100 wheelers 2" springs out back. and now I've got 6112s up front, 5160 with the wheelers springs out back.

That's why I'm considering St Maxx in 255 or the falkens in a 285. 255 St Maxx are $173 on tire crawler. 285 falkens are $215 on DTD. Still leaning towards the St Maxx even though they're realistically overkill for the 99% of the time I spend on the highway.
