ECGS 8” clamshell bushing

just finished installing new bushing. Could not get it flush. Seemed to bottom out and was about a 1/16 above carrier (1.5mm). Anyone else have this happen? Thought I read somewhere that some would do this due to the way it was machined. Thanks

I'm getting ready to do this soon but can't find the DIY.
