So I removed the bushing and there was a crack on the inside. Honestly, I have no idea how that could have happened. I forgot to take a picture of it, I think I still have it tho. The axle movement that I was getting makes sense with that crack.

I installed a new oil seal and bushing and everything went in smoothly. Truck drives way smoother now.

Any ideas on how that could have cracked?

You should definitely post photos and also let ECGS know. What is not stock in your front end?

That was definitely a though, as far as I can remember the install process was pretty smooth the first time.

There’s a correct way and a backwards way to install the bushing. Did you install the bushing the correct way?

I realize this thread is a little old, but I thought of share my experience thus far.
I had some bad luck with the ecgs bushing. Only a few months after installation, I was still experiencing vibes, though it was slight. I took a look while I was changing struts, and too my surprise there was some unusual wear.
I contacted ECGS, and they sent me another free of charge! ($25 for extra shipping to Canada) I will be attempting to remove the old one this week, so I can keep everyone posted. Here's a pic of the damage...

I did mine a few weeks ago. I did a TON of searching before I pulled the trigger. I found 1 that went bad and it was due to the diff being ran low on oil. The bushing will burn up if it is not in a constant oil bath.

    There's damage?

As for OP my guess is improper install of the bushings or incomplete insertion of the axle, use of aftermarket axles, low fluid, or a bad shock leading to excessive vibration that could have cause accelerated wear.

I've had two trucks with it and zero issues.

When I replaced my CV axles I snagged a pic, everything looked dandy absolutely no noticeable wear. Approx 40k miles on it.

After my install my straight line vibes were gone but I can still get some vibes doing aggressive left turn at low speed. Anyone like this? Running 80w-90 dino

Edit: stock 2014 AC 4x4 with 6112 set to 50% on the 600lb springs. ~1.75” lift

Do you have All terrain tires? I get low speed turning vibes here and there with my wildpeaks. I have the ECGS bushing too. I had the same turning vibe before my lift and bushing. pretty sure its just the tires.

When you feel the vibes are you in 4WD? Could just be driveline bind.

Just 2WD HI on pavement. It’s hard to detect vibes when I’m on gravel roads due to the road vibes, and I’m loathe to do aggressive turns in 4WD on pavement. (No reason either..) Only vibes during hard left turns. Maybe it’s just my power steering struggling?

Could be or like others said tires, have you reset your VSC since the lift?
