Sooooo let’s say hypothetically that someone is install camburg uniball upper arms and icon extended travel shocks up front with the over all goal of lifting 1-1.5” . If the truck is all taken apart might as well replace the ecgs bushing yet you didn’t plan ahead and failed to order it online. Any idea where it can be acquired in the sol cal area or if that type of bushing is ubiquitous and can be found at most bearing supply places if the dimensions are known (bronze type bushing with out roller pin bearing correct ?)

It's pretty niche. Just order it and install later, takes about 1.5 hours, super easy.

As stated above, just get it from ECGS. If you install it at a later date, the only effort doubled up is the removal of the wheel. You're not really saving anything by installing it at the same time as the suspension.

It's an easy job. I used the following video.

The company is called ecgs. They ship out very fast. I received mine in 3-4 days.

    Build thread coming soon.
If you will talk to ECGS they are very accommodating. Great bunch will probably overnight it for you. Had a small hickup with shipping company, and ECGS got me my bushing the next day so I could make my trip with my new bushing. When I say overnight I mean over night.

    ordered ECGS bushing...

Although, with 1" of lift there was zero vibration. I suppose you guys are right, not much more extra work to pull it apart again and pop in that new bushing.

It took about 7 hours to get the camburg 1.25" upper uniball arms in, icons C/O's bolted up, remote resi brackets welded up to the CBI frame mounts (didn't order new CBI mounts for RR shocks) , and rear holes drilled in the frame for the rear remote resi mounts (totally stock leafs). The stock rear end pulls about 12" of travel with the limit being stock leafs drooping down only so far. The rear Icons have about 1" more travel left in them even after the stock leaf pack is fully drooped out so all it totally well there....now for the front end:

I don't know why I never thought about limit straps prior to the install, but the extended travel icons allow for a lot more droop. The 1.25" uniball uppers also allow for more droop. It seems the limiting factor for full droop/down travel is the upper uniball and it's misalignment maxing out. In my experience this totally warrants limit straps to prevent the uniball pin/misalignment spacers from being the final "drop stop". Even if the Icons were the limiting factor for droop travel I would still say limit straps are needed (why put all that pressure on your shock shafts and end cap). Why doesn't any tacoma with mid-travel or even long travel run limit straps? It seems very uncommon for something that should be a given.
