Just curious as to how long you Fellow Taconians have waited for your gears. Was it a long ass wait, and did they communicate much with you??
All the reviews I read were good, but having second thoughts???
What were y'alls experience?? Thanks in advance..

Getting them installed at their shop or waiting after sending yours in to be refitted?

I ordered mines last summer.. Had both front and rear within 2 weeks of the orders. Also no issues getting my core $ back. They also didn’t mind the stripped drain plug stuck in the front diff core and told me they’d handle it. I highly recommend them.

Based on their current workload at the time I ordered my gears, they said it would be between 3-4 weeks. The gears arrived in about 3 1/2 weeks.

Nothing but good things to say about ecgs. Order placed on 4/10/20 for front and rear. Order shipped on 4/30/20 and arrived on 5/1/20. Got my core $ back as soon as they received my parts. Smooth process as they give you return labels for your cores. They answered any and all questions in a timely manner

I ordered mine in Feb 2022 (F&R gears + lockers). They arrived within a week. I swapped over the weekend, sent the cores back that Monday and had the core refund within a week. Maybe call and check?

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
Just had to do a warranty claim on my rear diff. Showed them a pick of the pinion damage and they got the process started. Did take 2 weeks to get replacement. I think this is the busiest part of the year for them.
New diff in and breaking it in.
    Would recommend.
Timmy the Tool man has an episode where he visits the shop and goes through the process of rebuilding an elocker diff. Pretty neat.

For the 3rd members ordered of course. After much anticipation, and it is a busy season for them, my 3rds should arrive within 2 wks. Thanks everyone. Much appreciated.
4:88's for my 2nd gen auto with 35's here soon. Currently on almost 34's...

Lock the rear diff before removal. Not totally necessary but it will give more clearance for removal and install.
I did not lock it the first or second time, but the second time when pushing in the axle shafts it engaged the locker. Which required me to pull the motor to disengage. Not too tough but saves some steps and stress.
I have the elocker, not sure if it applies to other diff/locker combos.

It took a lot of confidence to crawl underneath the front end with no wheels mounted and only relying on the jack stands while wresting that beast. Suggest a second set of hands.

As long as it's in stock, I've never had issues with them. I ordered the assembled gears with ARB locker (3rd gen) and it arrived without any issues, and my core deposit was refunded promptly. They are very helpful with any questions as well.

    Thanks for all the tips.
There is a ring, that I've seen removed, that does have my concern.
Upon transferring over the center shaft, there's a ring that also gets taken out and transferred. I've only seen this done in a few youtube videos, and others don't even mention it.
I don't have the rear locker, but did opt for the super limited slip that they suggested. (Not exactly sure of the limited slip name) but it is a good one preferred by them...
Anyhow, anyone know what that ring is exactly??
Thanks again my Brothers of the Taco!!!

Only thing I remember having to swap over from my factory components was the stub shaft on the front clamshell

Yeah that stub shaft, once you pull it out, there's another lil ring under it that also gets pulled out. Like I said before, some videos show to pull it out, and some don't. It's the main part of doing the whole swap that has me a lil confused. I'll swap it if it's there, just curious as to what it is and what role it plays under the shaft. Thanks tho!!

So the part is called "Differential Side Bearing Retainer Deflector".
Once the stub shaft is removed, this lil ring is also removed, and seated before the stub shaft goes in....
Thanks everyone and still, if there are anymore tips or tricks, for the install, I'm all ears.. Thanks again Tacomaworld!!!

You won't have any issues with the staff at ECGS. Had my e-lockers back when they said, refund processed quickly and install was a breeze with a friend who knew the procedure. Super responsive and knowledgeable about their products. 10 out of 10!

Thank you all Bros and Sis of the Taco!!!! After a lengthy wait, I received my front and rear carriers on Thurs evening.
At this point I had already prepped the front end minus the removal. Finished by 1:30a.m.
Hit the rear, (lol) at 11:00 and was done by 2:30. Enough time to return factory members to UPS and now awaiting my core refund. The wait did suck, but with all said and done, it was all worth it.
Thanks again for chiming in your input and experiences. ECGS knows what they're doing and at an unbeatable price.
Thanks to the YouTubers who post their walk through of said breakdown and install. 220 more miles to go until lube change and that revived power tho!!! Thumbs up to Will for the setup, and ECGS overall!!!
2800rpm's at 75-80, but oh well. Definitely no more gear hunting. Thanks TW!!!

Awesome. Congrats. I was around 2800 rpms all weekend driving about 1k miles. Truck didn’t miss a beat. You’ll be even more excited after the break in when you hit the dirt.
