The only thing I will monitor is the actual air fuel ratio as this is what I tune by. When doing a dyno run the ECU runs in the open loop fueling mode so there are no closed loop fuel trims happening.

Any idea when they will make one for 01-04 3rz? Seems to be the only engine missing

Can you take a photo of the MAF sensor for me? there is a good chance that Q1 will fit that motor.

I was working on it today. I have no fueling issues, no air intake issue and no unmetered air getting in. It is pretty simple. When the block is not installed my fuel trims are +/-3 after the block is installed my idle fuel trim is 7+ under load or crushing it goes 25+ And detonates.

Also I have noticed that my shift points have changed with the block installed. Which is what gives the fuel savings. Is that good or bad? IDK but the shift points suck and it lives in lower RPMs than it does stock. And if you reference back to the Dyno numbers Quirt posted the block doesn't do anything until the high to WOT RPMs so any MPG savings are do to the altered shift points from the MAFs lower reading. Not any increase in horsepower or torque.

How are you figuring out there is not any increase in hp or torque? It was my understanding that no tacomas have been dyno'd yet. Also curious, have you read the linked thread about the tsb flash that has helped 12+ model years with shifting?

Yeah! I mean I would have to get my phone, put the passcode to unlock it, touch a combination of magic numbers that makes someone speak from the inside my phone, I mean how tiny must he be to fit in my phone, how does he get there, its crazy!!!!!!

Anyway, Ripper I really appreciate the offer, but I will be returning the eco-block though, and yes I was planning on calling; when I get the thread updates in my email, it reminded me to call the following day, but once I get to work, it gets in the bottom of my to do list and by the end of the day I didn't call. Sucks that they didn't respond to my emails though, looks like its as difficult for them to respond to an email as it is to me to call.

whats with the OP, 7 posts and gone?
I have had this in for a couple months now, I see no change at all
yes my mileage is better than when I put it in, but its warmer out, no more winter fuel. and that goes for everyone here, we all got them and installed in winter. ill probably be pulling it soon for a few tanks to see if its doing anything
im not sold at all. no dynos yet, nothing.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Dyno is scheduled for the 2nd of June....I have to drive all the way from VA to Socal just for the Dyno run. I'm sure Quirt will post them up as soon as complete.

Also the shift point thing might mean something to you auto drivers but I have a 6 speed and show a 2 MPG difference. I recently removed mine for a trip to the dealer and left it off to see how I was doing now that the temps are up and winter gas is on the way out. I'm not removing it again.

Didn't notice much difference to power or gas mileage so I took my Q1 off the 4Runner. Didn't want to return it so I threw it on the LS430 I just picked up instead. I have less than an hours worth of drive time on the Lexus so I doubt I'll notice anything. The Lexus hauls ass compared to my 4Runner, that's about all I know as of now.

Quirt or someone else has posted a dyno sheet earlier in the thread. It showed zero change until 4-5k out the WOT. Who DD at 4-5k?

My shifting was fine prior to the block. What I am saying is that the ECU is seeing a different MAF value and is adjusting the shift parameters accordingly.

Try taking it off the LS430 after you get used to driving it, it is easier to feel a loss of power.
