    I chose this size tire because they are nearly as wide as a 285 but no taller than a 265. Speedo is still spot on according to my gps.:rolleyes:

    Sorry it took so long to get back up here. Its really cut and dry on how I cut it. The mounting holes are like 6 or 8 inches apart, equally spaced. I just simply cut it back to the next set of mounting holes, so just shortening it one set of bolt holes, the end caps are removable so just pop it back in place and it was done.. I could get some pics of this but I dont feel like removing the rack for this reason. Sorry, I am pretty lazy and i have alot on me right now.:goingcrazy:

    that cool I understand. I was more concerned with the hole in the rack. this will help now i just need to find a roof rack
