I'm assuming the majority of you have Sport+? My SR5 cig lighter quit working after install. I followed the directions to a "T" and now I'm powerless at the cig lighter. I'm sure I did something wrong or "knew" something wrong.

    Haaaaaaaaalp.

Sounds like your wire wasn't centered in the tap and got severed when you snapped it closed. Does the ECT mod work despite the cig lighter not working?

You may also want to check the fuse? It may have blown or isn't seated fully.

What method are you using for tapping power? The add-a-fuse at the fuse box, or directly behind the cig lighter?

Add-a-fuse. Module works seamlessly, but cig lighter is no longer powered. I’ll take a peek tonight after work, I just haven’t had time to inspect it or take pics since I noticed it happening.

Ok, if that's the situation, I'd be fairly confident in saying it's an issue with your fuse setup.

Just to be clear, did you add a low profile mini fuse to the "add-a-fuse" connector that @mesojdm provided? Be sure it's the right size and type. Also make sure it's fully seated in the connector. After that, just check to make sure the fuses aren't blown. Even if they look intact, sometimes they're bad. Either test with a multi-meter, or just put a new fuse in.

Assuming all of the fuses check out, you may want to check the connection of the cig lighter behind the dash. The wires may have pulled loose from the lighter when stuffing the wire looms back in there.

    Good luck!

Put me on the list for the next round @mesojdm. After a year and a half with the truck, tried a week driving with the ECT mode on and now definitely prefer it on.

@mesojdm - you need to add links to all your custom goodies in your signature. Lots of good stuff out there.

Will the covers be dropping here, or in a new thread?
