Just bought an arduino nano, relay, and already got the diy connectors.

Wanting to do it the super clean route and the route that can be turned on/off with the ect switch itself.

Got tired of waiting, just need to figure out the coding on the arduino and design/3D print the enclosure.

 

What language does the arduino run/send commands to the system? c++ ?

 

Would love one of these if you make anymore

Only a handful of commands would be needed for this however I would think. Will know for sure when I start tinkering. The arduino nanos are super cheap and worth getting to play with if you enjoy programming or want to learn.

I wrote code for it, just need to solder it all up. I'm working on a guide that will have the code.

The code is simple, but you have to save the flag state to the Arduinos EEPROM to switch between factory default and the auto turn on after holding for 5 seconds. That way it keeps the mode you want it set to after turning the car off.

Tempted to add a buzzer too to confirm the mode change instead of counting 5 seconds.

 

EXACTLY what I been working on past couple days. Got it figured out last night and laid out on the breadboard. Utilizing EEPROM for memory. Funny I just ordered a buzzer too I think its i good idea should be in next week. Was gonna wait for it to come in and the have the pcb / 3d model done before I posted a guide.

 

@DSIM now all you need to make is an etc always on and dome light controller in an all in one box. Would buy 100%
