How old is your ECT Mod? Is it from this last batch or one of the last few ones?

I got my ECT-24/7 MOD this evening & as I opened the package couldn’t resist not to install it.

This is some work of art.

Very good quality material & Detailed design .

I see Beautiful workmanship in this product.

You Guys should be proud of your work, I know I am.

And let me set the records straight before anyone criticize me of sucking up. I am a straight shooter & “I say What I mean and

    I mean what I say”.

I am engineering Technician for past 20 years & know what I’m talking about.

I THANK YOU FOR THIS WORK OF ART GUYS.

Thank you for posting this. Coming from a person in the industry for that long, to someone who didn’t even go to college(or any professional schooling of that matter) means a lot to me! All of my designs I try and put myself in the end users shoes. Thinking of installation, ease of use, and overal aesthetics.

And props to DISM for helping take over the tedious soldering process!

Anyone else feel like ECT might be deactivated by cruise control? I ask because if I have ECT on and am driving ~25-30 on a flat road, the engine will be at ~2k rpms no matter how I feather the gas (i.e. can’t get it upshift). But if I put on CC, it instantly upshifts and I am at ~1k rpms. Or is it just that CC is better at giving the very tiny throttle input to allow the transmission to upshift?

That is how Ive bypassed ECT set shift points when engine is at operating temp. Won’t upshift till 35 then again at 53 unless you use cc. Shifts work perfect when cold though without cc.

I think that cc uses a different shift map (table or load calculation).

If I use my foot speed without ECT on my commute the trip mpg will be about 18-19 mpg, using cruise as much as it allows on the same commute the average will be over 20mpg, often 22 - 23. The average speed limit on my commute is 45-50 with typical driving speeds of 50-55. The trip summary will dipslay an aver speed significantly slower (30-40) due to stops. Frame of reference, it is 16.8 miles and takes 27 minutes according to Google using the route I drive today (Sunday). Weekday times are normally 5-15 minutes longer, occasional increase of up to 30 minutes if the train decides to cross during my drive, based on experience.

I typically will hear the truck up shift, aftermarket exhaust, once set speed has been achieved vs holding the same speed with my foot. This is true at almost any speed. These are the same speed limits and roads, the only other variable is the other traffic. These numbers are consistent over time as I have been driving the same roads/route for 90% of my trucks 2 year ownership.

It is admittedly anecdotal evidence. It is also very consistent data. I have made the same drive using ECT and lose a little economy, .5 or less mpg, with or without cruise.

I do not use ECT always on because I have I have set it as a lower priority against other mods as well as non-Taco related money needs. It is on the list, just new things (stage 2 tails, puddle lights, v5 blinkers, module for courtesy lights. etc) keep jumping above it.

There is small Green LED on the unit But the unit have Velcro strap on it that let you strap it on the cables in the back side of your Dashboard and it will be hidden out of site. In the same time you have to have some way to know if ‘ECN’ is in on/Off Mode and therefore on your speedometer Green ‘ECN’ will be on as say you would’ve manually push it.

    I have it on my

2018 TRD Off-Road and it doesn’t bother me at all.

And even if you think it would bother you I think it’s a good trade off. My opinion,
