Why don't you wait until you see what's offered before you kill the messenger?
Kinda unfair to automatically from the get go group him into what you call cheap and stolen products.
That doesn't seem to me to be "firmly in support of creation and innovation."

For the record, I never solicited my own mods in the Shift knob thread. As you can read.. I simply stated the PRO knob would be easier to mod(not having to drill a hole)
I was actually giving advice since I didn’t even make a pro knob at that time!

Second post is a response to a post tagging me.

Again... please show me where I intentionally posted a solicitation of my own product on another’s thread. Because I don’t roll that way. Especially
“PM ME FOR A NEW OPTION AVAILABLE”

Back to the regular scheduled programming.

@MESO changed your username I see. Anyways can you care to explain again how v2 and pro shift knob can integrate together? I know you said it before but finding it is a bit much in your threads.

I’ve actually gotten used to pressing the ect button before leaving park so then I was thinking well maybe the pro knob will be a better fit for me after all and pressing the button would be more satisfying to me before leaving park. So if I actually want to press the knob button every time then will v2 be useful to me in this particular instance?

When I wake up in the mornings I go and get the coffee pot going, jump in the shower, get dressed for work, grab my coffee and before I make it out the door I check this thread.

    I’ll wait. :pccoffee:

Going to quote myself here. Just want to bring the discussion back to the meso mod instead of this bickering.

Do you guys know the failure mode for the V1? If not, it would be worth studying before V2 release to try to eliminate problems before they crop up.

Unfortunately failure mod for the handful of users that has issues has not been identified yet. I've poked and prodded / trouble shot the heck out of bad mods with no apparent issue with the circuitry.

It could just be an overheating issue with the Arduino. Not sure.

I sent a couple to @MESO for further troubleshooting to see if we can uncover root cause.

There were some issues in the last batch of ECT mods. I am still looking into the root cause, but at this point it’s still unknown. All sales have been permanently stopped on the V1, and it will be replaced by the V2 soon.
If you were a customer in the last batch fulfilled by member @DSIM, and have a defective unit please PM me or him. We will be giving the option to upgrade to the new version(when available) or work something else out. Either way, I’m sorry this has happened but I will make it right!

Not a current owner of a module but wanted to give props to Stew and company for standing behind their product and willingness to resolve the issues anyway possible. Makes me eager to be an early adopter into any new product MESO Co. puts out!
