The conversation between myself and the seller was in a private message back in April.
It was not my intention to smear anyone or publicly bash the product, so I said nothing on the forum. As it should be in situations like this... but after enough unresolved time goes by, I feel less loyalty to this.
Meso has stood behind the product and offered a refund after all this time... and that speaks volumes for his character and ethics. I hope he can resolve the money part with DSIM.
As long as the issue is resolved at my end, I'm a happy camper.

What if we bought it second hand?

 

My original Meso ECT Mod is still working fine.

 

I returned my defective unit, with plans to wait on the new version, but I will take a refund if it is not in the near future.

I can confirm these are a quality product. One of the best mods I’ve done to my truck. What’s even better is the stealth ECT shifter mod from MESO!

 

the original one with the relay and pac tr7? thats the route i am about to go , cheap and easy install

 

Curious about the circuit design, and what the weak link was that burned out. Looking at doing some arduino (or other microcontroller) based controllers for my Valentine 1, and my light bars.

 

I can confirm, i was the person that tested his prototype and made his install video.

 

On the original device this thread was started on, I did a RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and found the voltage regulator is what failed with the 3 devices I looked at, so I assume that's what caused all the failures. I looked up that part number and found that it's absolute MAX rating was 12V. The vehicle runs at 14V to 16V with sometimes spikes exceeding that. In my findings this is what caused the failures on all the original devices.

John what would you like to do with your light bars and such? I LOVE and enjoy doing electrical design and may be interested in helping you create something custom just for your vehicle I have created TONS of custom things for friends and such. PM me if you want some free help on your design

I was 50/50 on a module like this, as I use ect 100% of the time. Now I am disinclined. I will continue to push the damn button
