No, as I have not had the opportunity to drag it through any measurable snow cover on the road yet.

I have a 2016 TRD Sport and was majorly disappointed with the HORRIBLE throttle response on the low end. Often found myself doing an imaginary "push" thinking that my bodies momentum would somehow speed up shifts.

ECT power clears that up almost 100% - staying in "S" completes the package. Its night and day. You will NOT always be revving higher as believed if you calmly drive, however when you kick in some throttle, the shift points are certainty in the higher RPM range. Its how the truck should have been setup for as the default shift pattern in the first place (mandatory MPG numbers spoil all the fun). My fun to drive and responsive 2011 V6 frontier just runs circles around the 2016 tacoma with ECT off.

Im not a 4 wheeling kind of guy, just want a smooth driving experience. Adding a CAI and scoop attachment when it comes available, leaving in ECT mode at all times, plus sport (minus limited freeway driving) and if they ever make some sort of tuning device for this truck, I'll be first in line to use it.

Someone else mentioned it in the forum, but the truck needs to "learn" for the first 1000 miles to fix its endless shifting, then learn again if you in any away affect the MAF (via CAI or high flow drop in) .

S mode doesn't change the shift pattern. Its just a gear limiting feature

We have that on wife's Venza 6 speed with S mode. It's very effective. The cars have two over drives. 5th and 6 th gear kill acceleration bellow Hyway speeds.
