Finally got around to installing this - made a wiring harness to run both a standard aux switch (replacement for ECT slot) as well as the second button over to the left dash. Also installed the Chrome Delete at the same time Tested it all out, works nicely, but I can't quite figure out the best way to screw the knob down.

I got a fully assembled unit from Meso about 2 months ago. It's got about 6" leads, female (smaller) on the knob side. I cannot fit the male connectors (wiring harness side) through the "grommet" in my 2020, so I have to feed the knob-side cables down through.

Are people leaving the cables disconnected, screwing it down, passing the cables through the hole, then somehow connecting them underneath the tray, with the knob screwed on?

I did the first time. However, when I upgraded to the two button kit, I took the cover off of the shift knob and, while leaving the buttons and wires hanging off to the sides, twisted the knob on. Once the knob was in the correct position, I placed the buttons on their respective side and popped the knob cover on. Worked perfectly.

What happens if you don’t have anything to wire to the right switch?

You can just leave it unhooked until you find something in the future. Or if you plan on never using anything I include the factory red insert you can remove the switch and install the stock smooth one back.

Noob question: Anyone got a wiring diagram for the second switch. I think I'm just overthinking something but if anyone else has one could I get a pic? Thanks a bunch.

that one is a little trickier, and you would have to just paint the little plastic insert(stock one) black
