I have no clue how you keep up with this demand. Lol

My head is spinning trying to keep up on the threads alone. You're keeping up on threads and supplying everyone's MESO wants-- I mean needs.

In case you get a new boot with plastic connector, you don't have to drill through the plastic. There are a couple of holes already to choose from.

Took me about 30 minutes to install. Had the wire routed on the passenger side and when I shifted, it unplugged itself at the knob. Had to re-disassemble, route it on the driver's side, and now it is smooth as silk!

Works great! Thanks to the videos provided in this thread! Here is what I did:

-Took off the top radio/vent bezel
    -Took off the HVAC panel
-Popped out the ECT button from behind
-Pulled down the shift boot cover and unscrewed the OEM Shift Knob
    -Pulled out the center console
-Fed the new MESO wire/harness from under the Qi charger and grabbed it from behind the ECT panel by reaching down through the HVAC opening
-Plugged in the new harness and pushed the extra wire down for slack into the center console area
-Routed the two pin plug under the cross braces on the driver's side and up into the rear hole in the shift boot cover
    -Reattached the center console
-Screwed on the new MESO Knob and connected the two pin plug
-Reinstalled HVAC panel and Radio Bezel

Thanks again, Stew for such a well made and useful product! I will be using this constantly!

Now to buy the upgrade kit and decide what to use the second button for!

If you have any more trouble with it disconnecting, put a small piece of shrink tube over the connection.

Great idea. Best part is that I can probably do this by just pulling the shift boot cover down.

    Glad you like it!
Yes, definitely run it down the driver side of the console. When I took measurements for the wire length I went that route. Looks super stealth:D

After using the Stealth Knob all morning, I can declare it a huge improvement and success!

Question, while I like the idea of a second button on the other side, how feasible would it be to add a second button on the same side? Maybe closer to the bottom of the knob. The limited space for the wires might be an issue, but I think it would be a more convenient location for a second (or third button). Almost like a gaming mouse.

Not really feasible because of the wiring, and also the switch needs a "bridge" in order to bend and press down on the button.

I’ve been checking this thread at least 20 times a day waiting in the DIY kit to drop.
