    Agreed..

Some people don’t understand all the hard work in design, research and development that he has to put in. Then once he has a final product to put out , he bench tests everything to ensure everything is functioning as it should before release.

He’s not going to just crank out hundreds without knowing that each one will work and is up to his standards. All of these things take time.

I agree, is there a way we can buy just the harness and switch? I also have the TRD shift knob.

Wow.. ! Thanks for all the support guys:) These 20 custom shift knobs were more of a feeler to see how much interest there was, and obviously there is.
I plan on doing another run of these, so please be patient. I hope everyone that was able to snag one can appreciate the thought and detail I put into it!

Thinking the next batch will have some red models.
Yes. Have a beta model but we had some design changes to the onboard super cap.
So when I first started this I really wanted to change the stitching to black. After getting some opinions from upholstery shops, it was not cost effective at all. The old leather has to be ripped off(glued on) and there wansn't a easy/clean way to just restitch. So I left the red, which I actually like because it gives it a little splash of color contrast.
    Yes
As of right now I am only doing full complete modded shift knobs. Maybe after this next batch I'll make extra internals and sell the DIY parts.

First, I have to pay retail for all the PRO knobs. @ close to $100 each.. this was a small investment to test the water. Not to menton, getting 300 OEM shift knobs might raise some eyebrows from Toyota Parts. Not saying I can't(just gotta know the right people). but the next batch will definitely be more.

Thanks for responding, I didn’t know all the circumstances surrounding your company (1 man operation, cost, Toyota parts, etc) now I know I apologize...I was working Friday and couldn’t keep checking the website to try and get one, was disappointed....maybe the boys will let me back out of the kitchen…maybe try preorders? If that’s already been discussed sorry in advance...

He tried preorders on a product he knew he could produce enough to meet demand and it was a HUGE flop. People would order clearly knowing the product was still in production and he continued to give updates, but the bad apples still complained about not receiving their paid for item immediately. Its those people that caused Stew to go back to his original philosophy of never taking money from people unless he has the physical products in hand and ready to ship and probably never will take preorders again.

He is a stand up guy and I admire him for standing by his principles and upfronting all costs of materials and time before even making 1 thin dime of profit.

Nice could add another switch on the other side to be used for anything like front camera or lights. Endless possibilities.

That's an awesome thought! It's open already, and might be easy enough to reverse the program to mirror a switch, (only meso knows).
It can probably control some auxiliary lights. I drive at night and would be cool to have a button to momentarily turn on a grill light like a high beam switch.

Something else I didn’t think I needed. I like the idea of a switch on each side! Especially if it is a DIY kit!

A switch on the other side is cake. I just mirror my 3D printed button and snap it in on the passenger side

Yeah I’m in for red switch. Black switch doesn’t do it for me. Needs look as stock as possible.

Also will the button still work on the dash in combo with the switch on the shifter?

Got mine today. Didn't have time to install it but at least threaded it in place to test the feel. Button is in perfect location. If you don't have a pro shift knob these feel much better than stock Tacoma knob IMO. You're gonna really like this mod. Thanks Meso. :hattip:
