For those that didn't get an email notification, you might need to re-register it. I never got one this time, but i did notice that there are different options when selecting the pro knob so it might have reset the notifications for this product.

For anyone on the fence about doing this mod, it is definitely worth it. Having the button easily accessible made passing on the interstate much easier. I didn’t have to fumble around feeling for the switch while trying to focus on the road. The ease of access does increase your urge to push it though :mudding:

for those looking to do a light from it remember its a momentary switch so your going to have to build something that will turn a momentary into a on off switch if you plan to do lights.

I am turning it into a garage door opener :)

Doing a write up by chance? I can't think of what else I'd use a stage 2 for. That's why I only got a 1. But yknow - one could always upgrade.

When I finally get a black DIY kit I actually don’t plan on using it for the ECT at all. I’ll use one side for my radar detector mute button, and the other for the garage door opener.

there is a basic how to early on in this thread. I am following what was posted :) or you can just do a google search on diy garage door opener and you will find countless pages on how to do it. From modding your current buttons to buying a home link to adding a constant power so you dont have to change batteries.

I didn't get an email. So when is the next batch expected? These things seem to be released on weekdays, which is no good for me. Working in a secure facility, cant have my cell phone on me. I have to check during my break.

does anyone else feel the edge of the button being sharp? I am not sure if it is because I sanded the buttons down a bit to paint them so now they are sharper. I may remove them again, sand the edges rounder and repaint.

I use mine quite a bit and never noticed a sharp edge on mine.

I painted both buttons MGM and it matches the rest of the knob spot on. I also blacked out the threads like @20tacoma17 did.

The red matched OEM looks great but I really like it almost blacked out with the MGM touches. :hattip:

Likewise......no clue on the "insider" route......

When flying, cant check the phone......

    Probably about the "Buzz" .......

Seriously, as stated before, want one...will pay....work interferes.

Not chasing this down the rabbit hole

If I could get my hands on a stage 2 DIY kit, I was planning on using the 2 buttons for upshift and downshift when using S-mode gear lock with OVTune. A 3rd button somewhere on the shifter for ECT would be sweet too.
