Yup, it was due to my sanding. I also noticed that the clear i used didnt harden properly. The clear coat was still tacky and when I re-sanded it to smooth down the sharp edges yesterday, the paint under the MGM layer was soft so i had to remove all of the paint (including the red) until bare plastic and re-painted and clear coated. Now the buttons are smooth and isnt tacky anymore. I am much happier with it now. I guess all the different paints didnt react well together.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Plus with 3 or 4 layers of paint, the minor thickness could add to it not fitting or working correctly since they are such a perfect fit. Glad you got it squared away..:hattip:

I have mine unterminated for now. Maybe thinking about using it for my garage door opener or front/rear/side camera switch.

I’m surprised it still fit into the knob after so many layers of paint !

Yeah, the buttons did get stuck at times after the first paint job, now they are perfect and push in smoothly.

So black DIY kits next, black full knob, then red DIY kits again? Gives me plenty of time to buy other things without getting too many eye rolls, like key fobs and puddle lights (hopefully)! :yay:

Ordered on Monday and it arrived at my house a few states away in less than 48 hours. I think that's a new record for Meso deliveries, just barely beating out the three days it took for the TRD OG bucket I ordered a few weeks ago. I will be installing it after work later, thanks for the super quick shipping!
