ECT Stealth PRO shift knob

I'm hoping to get in on this drop. Time get comfortable with food and drinks to last the day. Hopefully my f5 key doesnt break but if it does I've got a spare keyboard. I'll go ahead and plug it in just in case.

 

Have you tried sanding them down at all?

I used to not mind at all but they do kind of protrude out a good amount. A more low profile button would be nice, one you couldn’t even see would be ideal IMO.

 

I could sand them down, but since mine are red, it would expose the black base.
Would be a pain to repaint them without taking it apart.

Yea, a shallow button would be ideal. It is already sitting in an indent so pressing it would not be difficult.

 

So is it true only black is coming out? No red

I'm the same way lol. I ordered from the very first batch when black was the only option. Got the TVD vinyl inserts for the knob in dark red metallic-368 and it matches the BRM pretty well, more so than the TRD red. Just trimmed the side vinyl insert for the button side and it was good!

They are MICRO JST 1.25 2pin Connectors

Correct. Black Stage 2's today only. They can always be disassembled and pop the switches out to paint the color of your choice.
Keep in mind, the switches are a very tight tolerance. So if you paint with a thick layer(or clearcoat) you might have to do a little sanding for them to press freely again.

This batch will have the same button shape as before. I 3D printed a bunch last time and just using up what I had left. I have tweaked the design, so going forward they will have a slightly more rounded edge. If the edges are that uncomfortable, a light sanding or a razor blade to the edge would do it.

I had a lower profile button in my first design. The problem that I encountered was it needs to stick out more thank you think because once you press in and activate, it drops into the channel(below the shift knob level). So it needed to be taller.
They stick out ~1/16" which IMO is not that bad

Looks like I will be waiting :/ That sucks Will this RGB be on the same order line as your RGB for your Dome Lights and Map Lights?

 

Ordered! I'd order one of the light up TRD logo's once you release. Now I just need to figure out how to wire my radar's mute button to the second button. Hopefully it wont be to difficult to figure out.

 

I knew the TRD light would be a hit especially combined with your Stealth Knobs. The slightly larger letters look much better. That's awesome.

Thanks for the tip...ordered now I got a black stage 2 to go along with my red stage 2...When will that fancy light up trd be available? As I need that too!
