Technically you can, but would be odd to have the shifter be the place to have the button...

Other use the ETC, because it is like the Overdrive button of old Auto Transmissions.
To have control over the shift points, at the shifter, instead of having to press something at the dash.

are you guys shrink wrapping the pin connectors, or are they coming like that now?

@MESO i got one of the first batches and the wires just snapped. I just need the micro pins to fix it...I think.

Where can I get just that piece.

Tried to look through the thread, but it would be awesome to get a manual transmission counterpart for this sweet setup.

I put a detailed post/pictures of how I routed the wires and the connectors in the knob not heat-shrink which has no possible way of pulling apart.

It’s in this thread maybe a month or 2 back

Molds are being cut right now. I decided on a different way to mount the backlit LEDs.
The new insert will have a recessed shelf. Then I designed a flexible PCB with small SMD's. that way it will illuminate the "TRD" from the back. All while sitting flush so the shift knob cover will sit like stock.
    Stay tuned!

Know you're slammed with projects left and right, but I think the manual would be a great option and ironically we have our hands on the shifters more than the auto guys so the added functionality of the buttons would be huge.

No ECT for manual. Could still use buttons for accessories

Sorry should have been clearer, just the aux button functionality (ECT Button aside)

No ECT button, just helps for more multitasking for other functions if you have one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter and it would be pretty clutch (pun intended).
