Dude life is too short. A friend of mine died a few weeks ago. He was 32. He was fine six weeks ago when my wife and I went to dinner with him and his wife. On Father's day he started to feel ill. He went to the doc, found out he had brain tumors and they were inoperable. Too far gone except make him comfortable. He was worried about us getting his hardwood floor installed. Now he is gone. Life is too short. Get what you want.

As a wise man once told me:

Happy wife does not equal happy life; Un-happy life = un-happy life.

I doubt the new Corollas are as durable as these used in the Rally races. LOL. Tires are gone off this one and still airborne!

If you're happy when you're wife is happy that's fine. But if you're wife is happy and you're fucking miserable, you need to GTFO.

And pulllleeeeze get some whitewash and put numbers on the doors and a big rally stripe down the middle. Loaner cars can be so boring at times ..

I figure if you have to drive a loaner, turn it into one EVERYONE wants to drive.

Reading smittys posts reminds me of one of my buddies when it comes to bad luck with vehicles. He bought a Honda Accord for his wife and the front wheel bearings went toast at 30k and then he bought himself a '17 civic hatch two days after I bought my taco and his front end is falling off at 6k miles because of some factory defect and he had to have a recall where his whole coolant system could have blown up and fried the motor. I'd be unloading that unlucky truck as fast as I could if I were you. Our local chevy dealer has ridiculous markdowns on silverados. They had a midnight edition crew cab marked down to 37k and it really tempered me because it is a beautiful truck but I love my Tacoma.

I do love those silverados....

I keep looking at the Chevy forums waiting to see when the 6112s will be released for the GMs.

They are sweet rides. This one was a 5.3 but if I were going for a GM truck I would definitely go with the 6.2. It's a beastly bulletproof motor I love them. My dad has a sierra 2500 with the 6.0 and it has 120k or so and has only needed a new battery.

I think they make the best looking full size trucks but I always hear horror stories regarding reliability and interiors

Smitty, I really hate you are having more trouble......I think you definitely got the king lemon taco. Enjoy the corolla though, they are pretty zippy around town. I drove one in a manual a while back, it was a blast! Would be a good commuter car for sure. Hope you get your truck fixed soon though!
