    My 98 3.4 5 speed needs a new motor so I bought one from a 99 3,4 5 speed will the 99 harness plug into 98?

    96 tacoma sx 4x4 2.7 5 speed
    Started automatic. Swapped to manual
    Are there differences in the engines?I really don't know the answer for those yr trucks. You can lay the harnesses out and see if they are the same. When I swapped 95.5 and 96 I took harness and ecu. Mine were different because one was 5 sp,the other automatic. Your harness probably will work being both 5 spds. If I'm wrong someone will let us know.lol
