ECU Question

Ok i have a 99 tace 3rz auto, and i hate the auto with a passion.... but i LOVE my truck, i have ZERO interest in selling, its paid for, and only has 123k on it.
I have a really good shot to pick up a w59 from another 99 taco. as far as i know this truck is the reg cab version of my truck (mine's a ext cab). i want to know if the ECU from the donor truck will plug and play in my truCK. My truck has 4 plugs in the ECU, two small ones in the middle and two larger ones, one on either side of the smaller plugs. also the wires are set up in 2 rows, i know some truck have 3rows. (2001-2004??) I would assume the 5speed ecu has the same plug count and shape, cant anyone varify?
if the ECUs are interchangable what other side effect am i lookin at?
I know i need the hard parts, clutch, clutch pedal, brake pedal, ect, ect. I just want to know about the ECU.

I have read over every thread i have found that i thought applyed to my case, i have read the long detailed one from jungle what ever.com
