Battery went dead so I replaced it,
Now Of course the alarm will not shut off,
    Truck will not start.
I purchased a FOB for the unlock and locking of the truck and was told the ECU had a ( reset button ) and that it was under my drivers seat to press so I could reset the ECU / Alarm.
It is not under the seat, Some say it is in the glove box compartment.

Any help to solved this issue would be greatly Appreciated.

    Thank you all.

Couple of things- ECU generally refers to the computer controlling the vehicle. The alarm will have a separate computer. Just need to make sure you're clear on that distinction. Having had the battery disconnected, the primary ECU would have been reset- but that's not what you're trying to do.

What you are actually trying to do is reset or bypass the alarm system.

You need to determine what type of alarm you have. A 98' T-100 could have come with a factory installed alarm system, but that's unlikely. Factory Toyota alarms are primarily RS300x systems.

The alarm computers are generally installed under the dash on the drivers side. Poke your head under there and take a look. The buttons are generally not on the computers themselves but installed in a concealed location. Try looking around the fuse block. You really will need to find the alarm computer and look for a manufacture's label to determine what you have, and then look up on the internet specific bypass instructions for that alarm system.

It might be pushing the button with the key in the ignition, or turning the key while holding the button, etc.. impossible for us to advise on the specific sequence without knowing what alarm you have.

Just a tip - pull the horn fuse so you don't drive your neighbors nuts.

    Thank you for your replies.

    Andy01,
I pulled the Horn fuse, First thing. LOL
( I will investigate your theory and see if that works ).

I've determined the alarm is a RS3000 - Factory or at least installed by Toyota according to Toyota,
IT is the same type of Alarm other 1998 T-100's have
with an (Indicator) red button in the Dash-left of steering wheel.

    Other posters:
I've tried pushing and holding the red button, locking and unlocking the vehicle to turn alarm off and
the 4 and 13 Pin method in the Plug Port, disconnecting the new battery,
Turning the lock & key 5 times on and off and everything else that has been
posted that might reset or fix the issue but none of those methods worked for this Truck.

    Once again:
Thank all of you for your input.

    UPDATE:
The Alarm (Brown Box) was under the dash.
There is NO reset button and disconnecting
the box from its wiring doesn't reset the alarm.
Main Module box number / 019800187913613634
Main Module part number / 00016-30960-01

I have so far been unable to find a Manual but will keep looking.
Any and everything that has been posted on disarming or resetting
    has not worked, LOL.
It's funny how something so simple can caused such a disruption
    in an old system.

Thanks to all of you who has helped with your input.

Cheap and easy way is pull drivers kick and look for aftermarket wires(wires outside of oem harness wrapping, solderless connectors, larger wires, solid colors, etc). The brain is likely under the kick panel or under the dash on the drivers side. I cant remember if T100s had a actual jumper harness that goes between factory connectors. Its going to be tapped into the starter signal line from the ignition switch, so you can check in that area.

The alarm or horn fuse? That might be your issue if you've cut power to the alarm circuit.

Mine is in the driver's seat but it's a 97. The install shows all the possible spots for the rs3000 ecu. I forgot to add that based on year you must choose a specific key fob color, if I recall -96 and 98 is grey, 97 and some 98 are black.

If you remove it without removing all the associated wiring (that's connected to the ignition circuit, etc...) you probably still won't be able to start the truck.

Now that you have a part number, have you tried looking for a manual for it? Or called a dealer to see if they can get you a manual? It has to have a way to bypass it.

The dealer here has no idea and was unable to find a manual.
I will keep searching for the answer.

    Thank you for your input.

Looks like Tacomaoverkill dude provided the pdf link to the manual above.

    - thanks for that, by the way, Tacoverkiller!

I'm also looking for the mysterious ECU to reprogram my replacement fob, which I've had a friend help me do once before (ok, he did it all) but he doesn't remember where it is either.
    Trucks are so complicated..

Hey not sure if you were able to fix your problem but the manual is wrong on the programming portion for some keys. I just added a new key on the t100 and had to press the lock until it started to flash while the key was set to ON. I then pressed the reset button on the rs3000 module and it paired. The old method wasn't working. If you need a video I can make one but should be pretty straight forward.
