I've been having some weird shifting happening in my 4.0 auto 2014 after installing a new OEM air filter. Seems odd, I know. I'm going to try resetting the ECU. Is there anything to lose by trying that?

Just unhook battery for 30 mins, correct? Anything else I need to do after? Let it idle for awhile or just go back to driving as usual? Thanks.

Just go back to driving normally. It may struggle to idle when first started after a reset, but it will regain its composure after a drive.

I seriously doubt the air filter has anything to do with your shifting issue. Get the transmission fluid level checked.

"Shift" was a bad way to describe the issue. Yeah it has more do do with RPM's that shifting. Thank you for the reply. I didn't describe that very well.

Well. care to give it another go...

If you are having an idle RPM issue after a filter change. I would look for a vacuum line that may have gotten unplugged...
