    So why a "ecu body" on the drivers side and the "ecm" on the passenger side?

    ECU = Electronic Control Unit
    ECM = Engine Control Module

    Many interchange ECU and ECM. It gets confusing.

    The Body (ECU) Electronic Control Unit controls many of the vehicle body control functions such as Wireless door locks, Power Windows etc...

    The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls engine related things such as Fuel Injectors, Starter, Emissions Canister, Ignition Coils, Throttle Body etc ...

    As stated above what you want for tuning is the ECM Engine Control Module behind the glove box.
