    MT or AT?

I have a feeling that Rodland would have done it for me. Someone offered to loan me a Tactrix cable, so it was easier to just do it at home.

There are no VINs in the TSBs, only model years.

This was just posted in the MT update thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/software-update-for-the-manual.562550/page-119#post-19098412

Vancouver isn't a quick trip, but it might be worth it, esp with the MPG bump that I am seeing?

Also, I forgot to mention that there is a go / no-go map for MT folks:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/software-update-for-the-manual.562550/page-119#post-19091765

If you go to a place that updates the MTs, you should have no problem getting the update for an AT.

Michael's did mine no questions asked. Be forewarned though, the truck seems to revert back to it's old tricks after about a month or so.

Nope! Take a look at the TSB. Both were posted a few times in this thread. TSB-0058-18 is attached to the 1st post. The only limitations given are transmission and model year.

Edit: @ShortComings Sorry! I thought this was a post in the MT Update thread. Attached are the TSBs.

Also, anyone with an OVT package or just a Tactrix cable can load this for you. I used a borrowed cable to do mine and another persons 2018 at home.

Use the high altitude excuse, then tell them you'll drive a tech up on top of the pass to replicate the issue if they'd like. They'll do the stupid TSB in 5 minutes over you wasting 2 or 3 hours of the tech's time.
