ECU TSB Update

All they did is reiterate that there was no update available after reading the techstream

 

Well aren't they just a bunch of lying cocsvckers then lol...print that out and take it to them

 

There’s another Toyota dealer who has done it in the area I could take it to them. Or @csmacomber in my area apparently has the ability to flash it. I’m not wasting my time on them.

 

If you have a local member close, buy him a case of beer and do it. Ive flashed 3 plus my own. 3 of them 04B10's. If he has a tactrix cable, there should be no issues

 

C&C Toyota in Marietta Ohio is doing the update for me next Friday.

Took some convincing but got the service manager to hook up to my truck and search for a software update, after I brought in the wrong TSB.

 

He doesn’t drink :/

 

I wouldn't trust him then

 

He’s 7 for 7. That’s 7 more than the dealer I just left haha

My build date is August 2018 and came with 04A70. Shifts much smoother and no longer feels like it is stalling at 1500 RPM now I have the 04A71 tune.

 

I do have the Tactrix cable, and experience with the flash. I think 3 of the 6 I have done were B10 as well.

I live in Surprise and work in Scottsdale. I am also down in Tucson basically monthly (and can stop pretty much anywhere on my way down when I go)

Need some direction folks ,, downloaded TS from page one following directions ,, trybto replace main menu from folder to TS shortcut on desktop,, it doesn’t ask if I want to replace it just says open with Main menu Application,, open it and try to enter key ,, new key page keeps poppin up ,, thoughts ?

 

You need to get into the file system, find that file in the proper folder, and replace it. Dropping it on the desktop shortcut won't help.

 

Just rechecked and it says download for windows 7 ,, not gonna help me

 

The version of TS that we linked from obdii365.com should work on both Win7 and Win10. Are you saying that you are on a Mac or WinXP?
