Ah! It was good that they worked with you on it. Maybe in person with both copies in hand?

In the end, they should not be denying this to anyone that asks for it. Just out of good will and that it takes a true 10min.

    What is B1400?

    You're welcome!

    Whoa! Neato.

That might get this thread hopping again.

@Ruggybuggy , @inksin , or @ToyoVL , do you guys see the CUWs for 04B14 hanging around out there?

Hopefully a kind soul will answer me and I can avoid a shit storm.

First post says not to use a virtual machine environment. Anybody have success with bootcamp?

Only issue with a VM as far as I could see is that it introduces another comm layer. Comm layers fail, that just happens. So don't introduce an additional comm layer because during this process, comm layer failure is fatal. This is why so many peeps say "Tactrix" cable is the way to go, proven comm layer (physical)

Bootcamp I dunno. If its virtual, it's an additional layer of comm.

Alright, so after multiple attempts, it looks like I successfully downloaded Techstream to my computer. I opened it and clicked “connect to vehicle”. When I did that, I was taken to a screen that asked for a new Key. I opened the Key.txt folder, copied the contents and then pasted it. Then, I clicked ok and the screen pops back up

Long time lurker, first time poster. Foss Toyota in Casper, WY did the update for me, just took in TSB-0125-18 print out with me and just leveled with the service adviser about wanting the update and they did it for me.

I had the update performed in Concord Toyota, CA. Just printed out both TSBs pointed out the calibration code. They performed it and gave me a printout of the update being performed.

Is there a particular service advisor you spoke with? I am close to Concord and could drive there if they will do it.

In the compressed folder you downloaded....there is a copy of the executable file. Search your computer for that file name where you chose to install the software. replace the executable file from the standard install using the one that was a copy from the compressed folder. Then try again. The standard executable is not cracked....the copy included in the compressed download folder is.

Just a guy with a 17 that thought he was getting into a difficult situation after reading the beginning and end of the thread.... after reading all TSB's being confused... then realizing there was no issue for 2017's getting TSB-0125-18.

No issues getting TSB-0125-18 on my 2017 6MT from Vann York Toyota in High Point, NC! :broccoli::threadjacked:

    Hey everyone,

I have an OVtuned 18' with 04B70 ECU, about to update with Techstream V13.3 to 04B71 (T-0037-18.cuw found on page 1)

Read through a bunch of this thread but, just want to double check before I do that file on the first page is correct for my current setup. Anyone else do this themselves with the same setup as me?

    Thanks in advance,

I did it on my truck months ago. You'll just have to reflash with the 04B71 versions of OV when your done. :)

    Cool thanks,

My version of techstream 13.3 is cracked, the first post on this thread says not to use hacked versions of techstream. Should I find a different version of techstream that's not hacked before doing this?

You really can't do that without a subscription. It is more of a caution / acceptance of risk versus a "shall not."

Same here. I was in for an alignment after lift and UCA’s, mentioned this to my tech and he said it was for automatic only, showed him TSB-0125-18 and he did it no problem. Feels so much better. I’m super happy with it. Done at Toyota of Cleveland in Tennessee.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but how would I get the dealership to flash my 2018 MT with TSB-0058-18 & TSB-0125-18?
There are so many threads and posts regarding this that I am quite unclear.
    Thanks

Most threads pertain to the ATs. I believe this is the only MT thread for the TSBs.

Either of those will get you to the same tune. The problem is the Table at the bottom of Page 3. You'll see that 2018 MTs are only listed in 58, which is called out for ATs only in the header. 125 specifically mentions MTs, but only 2017s. The TSB software covers 2016 through 2018 ECUs. That is what you need to explain to the dealer while having both TSBs printed in your back pocket to step them through if necessary.
