Yup, at 96K currently. So I'm screwed, I would assume when they release a tsb specifically for manuals it will say the same 80K to 96 months. So I need an alternative, but I'm not an expert with this ecu stuff. I've never had an update since I bought my truck in feb 2016.

I just flashed the update to my 2016 MT TRDOR myself and it went without a hitch. I used the T-0033-18 CUW file, the updater showed me that I was running a 4B11 ECU, it then flashed the file and once it was finished (total flash time was ~3mins). It then showed me that my ECU was updated to 4B13, as you can see in the screenshot I took of the confirmation screen.

Wow. Great job racking up the miles.

That's a great update. I wonder if 04B10 would work also.

    And there’s the golden key.
If you aren’t OVtuned and out of warranty or your dealer won’t play well with you then this is the best answer.
If you’re OVtuned and want to mess with it then flash it till the tune comes out or just wait for 1.05

That's awesome to hear! Good job. So what all is needed to perform this? Sorry not an expert on this subject.

It's back about 4 pages. Make sure you find the one dated July 31. Some are posting the old tsb.

Man... I'm on the fence. I love tinkering, and I would love to get rid of the bog down I get in second gear way too often,
but I don't want to risk screwing up my OV tune information. If it flashes to B13, will my license still work without me
having to bug Mat for an updated key? That is the question.

Man. That was one great (but late) firmware release from Toyota.

I'm curious about your driving impressions. Obviously, I'm begging for rev hang feedback.

I've only got about 30 miles on it this morning, but so far it's exactly what Ruggy said. Most if not all of the previous OEM driveability issues are either greatly reduced or gone.
I did several WOT starts just after getting the clutch out in 1st -no bog.
If you get into the throttle in 2nd at lower rpm, no more ruh ruh ruh surges. I mean, there's no additional power, but it's a lot smoother than 04B10.
The 3500 and ~4200 surges are still kinda there, but muted. The heavier you are in the throttle passing through that range, the less you notice it.
    No knock (so far).
Throttle response is much better than 04B10. It's a bit more squishy feeling than OVtune 91 file, but I can live with it for now.

For those running OVtune 91 octane files, you'll definitely notice the reduced mid range torque on the OEM file.

    No change in Rev hang.
    No change in DFCO.

The main reason I did this was to get rid of the underlying 04B10 garbage and get on board with a new OV 04B13 tune.

OEM 04B13 bin file sent to Mat.
