So i just noticed this under my hood. I got the update done in july 2019. My dealer actually offered it themselves, which was kind of surprising.

I cannot find the printout from the dealer, so im just wondering if thats the latest calibration. Thanks guys.

I am not sure what they updated. If you look at the second pic in the OP, 8821F is Navi and Pre-Collision. They may have applied updates to both? You might want to verify with TS, OVT, or the Carista app that your are 8966304A7100 (full code for 04A71).

Those pics were from a real, shop version of TS and @Ruggybuggy is from the Northern US. :D

I don't necessarily distrust your dealer, but it is always good to see it with your own eyes.

If you noticed a change in the engine and shifting, then you were most likely updated.

TS is TechStream. You can download it from the link below. I have not found a way for it to be used with a BT adapter though. You'll need a Tactrix OBD to USB adapter, or similar.

    Thanks Tony!

It did drive fine before, so honestly i didnt really notice much of a difference. It did feel like the shifts were a bit smoother tho, but that just might've been in my head.

Hopefully it says on the printout, if i find it. If not, ill take your advice.

    You're welcome!

There has been a range of feelings about the update, which makes sense considering different folks and the odd inconsistencies between Tacos. Most folks seem to see a big difference, but some don't find any. The change during shifts was the biggest change for me along with a small power bump. Those felt very significant and seemed to change the entire experience to me.

The neat part is that OVT gave me a similar change. Nothing like feeling like a totally new vehicle with just a small file. :D

I cant seem to find the printout from the dealer, do you think if i shoot an email to my service manager he will be able to tell me?

They can tell you, but the info is manually entered. It is not a data dump from your Taco.

If you are a new Carista user, you can get a free week if you sign up for a trial one year subscription. You just need to cancel within that week. Note that the trial starts at the time that you sign up, and on Android, the subscription is managed within Google Play, NOT the app.

If you don't have an adapter, you can buy the one from Carista for $20 and get a free month. Their adapter works with all the other OBD apps. So, bonus!

Also with Carista, you can do all the available customizations that are available to the dealer.

The other free thing that is possible is to sign up for their Beta program. You get some free access there also.

    No problem. You're welcome!

It is a very cool app. I only wish they had a lifetime subscription. It was offered a long time ago, but they changed that.

Here's what you're looking for in the app:

No worries. With changes, each model year gets a new ECU ID, sometimes two depending on switches at the factory.

2016 was 04B10 and 04B11 - there was some suggestion that there might have been some hardware changes on the line.
    2017 was 04B12

The TSB tune makes all those 04B13.

2018 was 04A70 - big change with the TSS-P stuff

The same TSB tune makes those 04A71.

2019 was 04B30 and 04B31 - it is rumored that there will be a TSB at some point for the 04B30s?
    2020 is 04B90
