Just wondering if you ever tried using the linked V14 to flash 04B14 to a 2016/2017 Taco? Just did the update from 04B11 to 04B13, but then got back to the end of the thread and see there is something new! Would like to update, but wondering if this is uncharted waters? (V14 of Techstream w/ 04B14)

Yessir! I just flashed 04B14 with the linked version. No problems at all.

A lot has changed since I was last on 04B13 Stock, but to me it feels a lot like OVT 1.05B Base. Moreso as it settles in.

Suh-weet!! I'm out to the Taco with the computer, will report back if it worked for me! Have you noticed an improvement with the new flash?

The other post reminded me about this. Like I noted, 04B14 updated just fine with TS V14. As before, I just launched the CUW itself.

So, I am not sure what the V15 requirement is all about. Good stuff though!

    Get'r done!

I edited the previous post to note that. 04B14 feels a lot better than I remember 04B13. Almost like OVT's old Base tune.

After you get an engine start, I would recommend Resetting the DTCs and Learned Values in TS, and giving it a 5min idle to set the baseline. It will feel a bit rough on the first drive, but really smooth after that.

Yep - same here, i flashed B14 like a week ago, no issues from me.

i even took the stock tune in VF and changed some stuff, still good to go.

Although i have 93 in my truck still from running SFOB like 2 weeks ago

Question for the pros. Can you flash directly from 04b11 to -14? Or do you need to flash -13 first?

Yes. There is never a need for intermediate steps. 04B10 to 04B14 is perfectly fine.

Both the TSB and the header data in the CUW file say the same:

I'm not having much luck getting a dealership to perform either the T-SB-0125-18 or T-SB-0043-20 on my truck but I am very curious to try it out. Unfortunately the link to the map of dealerships known to actually perform this TSB seems not to work on my computer.

Would anyone be willing to mail me, a total stranger, an adapter for a couple of days so I can try updating my truck manually? I'm up for the task but I'd rather not buy an adapter for a one-time use.

Where are you located? If you look at @lapoltba 's signature, he lists some TW'ers and their locations who could help you if you are nearby. I'm one of those.

Right now, a lot of us (me!) are waiting on an imminent OVT update. Once that is dropped, I would be willing to send mine.

It looks like the map page is gone?

Upstate NY, so the closest person on that list is about 5 hours away unfortunately!

I will check in with you after the OVT 04B14 tunes drop. After the flash, I will be good to go for a while.

You might want to try posting a flash request in the NE section?

Hey I'm in upstate NY, Syracuse to be exact. I'm still super new to tuning but I'll eventually get it figured out. Once I do, I'll help you get your truck tuned if you want to drive to me.

If anyone needs the update I just did my truck tonight in NJ. Let me know if you are near the area of Burlington county and I can flash it for you. Cannot wait to get out of work and drive the truck and see what the update feels like from 04B13 to 04B14

    UPDATED
Wow, this is very good update. Driving the truck feels so much better coming off from a stop. It just pulls so must more cleanly and smoothly. This update over 04B13 is a big change, even when I thought what we had was good. Maybe it is me, but I feel like it has a little bit more power in the low 1-3k area of the rpm

I wonder if we will see more updates coming down later on

So I'm running 04B10 on my 2016, I am planning to get it up to 04B14, I've never flashed a truck ECU before and it honestly kind of scares me. I've read through and have a pretty solid idea of what I need to do but I'm still a bit nervous. I'm wondering if I should go to 04B13 first or just flash it straight to 04B14 with techstream V15? Also, if there is anyone in Calgary Alberta with a tatrix cable who is willing to lend or rent it out I would like to avoid buying one.
