On the TSB Update it said to open hood. I did cuz... I'm ignorant. Is that for real though? WTF does that do

The details about that are in the flash TSB. If the underhood temps exceed a certain temp, it cuts off the flash or something like that. So, opening the hood prevents that.

We don't get conditions like that around here.

Only 20 or so miles into the flash... I'm already thrilled

Awesome! That's the difference in the base code with OVT on the top. Wild stuff.

    Enjoy!

Just curious, but doesn't it sort seem a bit like an OV Tune though? Just missing a lot of that bottom end.

Yes it is a whole lot smoother. Evened out the light switch effect when switching to long runner intake path. Just way slow lol.

Definitely slow. I could only handle that so long after have the tunes.

You should get the Tune Pack quickly. They're probably bogged down with this update?

Just ordered Vftune and Tune pack for 2020 DCOR. Patiently awaiting registration code, and then .reg file.

You can apply for the REG file and Tune Pack now, if you want to.

    Install Flash Manager:
    https://www.ovtuned.com/blogs/news/flash-manager-1-3-0-released-with-new-logger

or vF and launch it on the computer that you want to tune with. The Flash Tool will give you the System ID to request for the REG file.

If you can determine your ECU ID, you can also request the Tune Pack at the same time. You can use OBD Fusion or Carista apps if you have a Bluetooth OBD adapter.

This way, you should be ready to flash when the OVT / Tactrix arrives.

That is the best route! I was going to ask if you had the Tactrix.

Yep, I just need to figure out where it is buried in TS, and get my truck back this afternoon.
