I will say this about 04B14. If my truck had it to start with, I wouldn't of thought to buy OVTUNE. It is pretty smooth, and I would of just accepted that as the way the truck was. That said, can not wait for OVTUNE to finish the update on the website so I can get my tune kit for 04B14. The 04B13 was amazing.

Awesome work! The only thing I saw missing is that it glossed over actually *getting* the .cuw files themselves. Perhaps a write-up on how to purchase a license for a 2-3 day access to the TIS site for downloading the .cuw files themselves? The prior sentence is possibly flawed since I've never done it myself and only read bits and pieces from several forums on the process.

Otherwise, is there a place on TW where we can ask someone to grab the files for us and then post them in a central repository?

    So Much This ^
Just went up in the mountains this last weekend and forgot I had my seat belt still on and found myself restrained at one point at the corner apex of an unknown forest service road one vehicle wide trying to crane around the front post to see if anyone was coming. Not a good feeling.

Completely agree. I'm thinking that the hesitation comes from concern over bricking a $40k+ vehicle. lol.

I was referring to any new ones that come out in the future. Will that first post *always* be updated to include *every* .cuw file for *every* year's ECUs? If they are few and far between then it seems a good way to go.

There is almost no chance of bricking during customizations. Esp as they can be done over BT with the Carista app.

The worry is the 5min that folks are flashing a TSB. Even then, the ECU can be bench flashed to unbrick.

Even though it is OT and the 1st Post is quite detailed already, here are the Customization screenshots. I will add a link to the 1st Post. @Mooseditty17 , also.

As long as I am around and as long as folks post up when a new ECU ID / TSB is available. That is partly why I have the nhtsa.gov link in my signature.

Sweet, you da man! Plus, I'm in the South Sound area (just noticed your location) so perhaps we can meet up during a truck event thing someday!

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Completely agree with @tonered here. Very novice user here using a cheap Chinese VCI clone. Even if you lose comm, the customization setting simply won't overwrite the previous bit which is already set.

I know for a fact if you drop below 11.9v, TS will stop whatever you're doing so if you're flashing and for some reason your battery drops below this threshold, you could be up the creek. Again, all instructions on first thread should be followed and why putting a battery maintainer is important.

Changing things like number of flashes for turn signal or seat belt warnings, when interrupted, will not brick your ECU. Can't speak if you're doing bi-directional tests but even then, you can just turn off the truck and everything should reset once you turn it back on.

Just don’t lose connection when flashing a TSB or you could have a bad day

Absofuckinlutely! I just didn't want to sound like a b*tch... I'm terrified of doing something irreparable. I'll just deal with the beeping. My main worry with the seatbelt chime is I don't want to accidentally disable my airbags or something.

Just read the tabs and buttons. It’ll do exactly what you tell it to. It’s nothing to be scared of. If you are unsure, just click cancel.

Aren't all ECU IDs available, but you have to request them for yours? Like, I'm running 04B41 (forty-one, not fourteen) so I think I'd have to email or put in a ticket for mine. Is that correct?
