Thanks OP @tonered for the incredibly well put together thread. Kind can’t believe I’m able to do all this myself now and super stoked about it. Everything was clearly laid out and the instructions were awesome, and any questions I had were easy to find via search. Definitely got a giggle at that Guy Fawkes drawn in code for the techstream key

So I’m good to turn off wifi while I’m updating my ECU as I’m getting that “critical update required” message correct? Just want to make sure I’m crystal clear on that final step. Cheers!

Thanks, Adam! I appreciate the compliments. A lot of good folks had big hands in getting it to this point.

The key gen program is crazy. I get a good laugh now, but that first time . . .

Having WiFi off is actually a bit safer as no internet comms will be there to affect your flash. It is one of the recommended tips.

    Enjoy the new tune!

    Hey guys,

I'm getting this error message when I am attempt to run the CUW file. Can anyone help? should I just click out of the pop up and continue the flash?

You should not be on the Web when you Flash or run the .cuw files.

You do not need to have TS open to update your ECU.

Just double click on the .cuw file ( I'm assuming you have TS installed ? )

Follow the prompts. Make sure you turn off EVERYTHING on your truck .... and your battery is in good shape.

Should I clear any DTC’s now? Wasn’t there something else I had to reset? LV and AT?

Yes, in the same window that you use to flash. Buttons are at the top.

Hello all. I've been trying to flash T-0022-20.cuw but no success. I've turned off everything (hopefully), but I'm getting this:

Could it be because of the cable? I've been able to change customization settings on TS (15.30.026) but won't flash.

    TIA.

Do you have the proper .cuw file ?

TS will not allow you to update ...... with the wrong ECU ID.

Lmao thanks. I thought that might be the case but digging though my records it looked like I was 4 versions back and 04B04 was the new version of 04B00 that I didn’t have. Oh well I guess I’ll let the new AGM charge while I’m plugged in. Anything cool I can do in the meantime or should i just wait for OVTune to complete my system registration? *facepalm*
