ECU TSB Update

I’m waiting for a detune, my truck rips in every gear, almost too much like the engine it going to jump out of the truck, it’s scary sometimes. Too much hp and torque, should be in a fucking racecar, not a truck.

No need naturally aspired, never understood the complaint about the MT

 

No complaints here, I've been pretty content with how it drives esp since I control most but I'm not following your logic on this actually being a "too fast vehicle" unless of course you are coming from a geo metro. I didn't buy this truck for its speed, so again, I don't care that it's not the quickest, but I fail to see how this truck is fast...

 

I’m just being sarcastic, sort of. Really have no complaints for a V6 4500 lb truck

 

Low end torque could be improved which is why I'm hoping this TSB (if true) would solve that.

 

I've only got 280 miles on mine, but I haven't noticed any type of surge or spike so far.

 

Yeah it’s the same torque as the 2nd Gen

 

It doesn’t happen all the time. When I step on the gas the truck doesn’t rev it just kinda sits there for what feels like forever. In all reality it’s probably 1-2 seconds. Then all of a sudden starts to rev and go. Is that what we are talking about here? I would like that to be fixed.

 

It has 1 less than the 2nd Gen and its at a higher RPM plus this truck is heavier so that is why it feels a little sluggish down low.

I think they are just asking for a pdf of the service bulletin paperwork that is put out by Toyota. But if you don’t have it a tsb # would be just as nice.
