Also not sure if this changes anything but I’m on 87,35” tire tune

I just know earlier u pulled up the 33” tune I’m not sure how different those may be.

Take a look at other map, esp the AT shift maps. Stuff has to correlate to take effect at times.

There is no 87 octane tune. Just the Regular fuel initial ignition set point. All 2.0 Tunes are Octane Learning.

Was thinking about this earlier, but never had the guts to test it, maybe sport mode is the only way to access it.
Or perhaps it’s an extension of the mild and wild tune (which I don’t have and am also not 100% sure how to get).

Wait a minute you mean to tell me that the “premium” tunes were like the sportier versions?

I have no idea about shared tunes.

Nah. The folks that saw it were in non-ECT Drive.

The Prem initial ignition set point is generally for 91+ octane. I've ran thousands of miles on a Prem tune with 87. NBD.

I believe that @OVTune said that the Prem tunes have a bit more ignition advance when running high octane fuels compared to the Reg tunes running the same high octane fuels?

Just drove for 15 minutes after updating the ecu back to the A61.. Stock tune. (I was running an early OV Tune). I know it needs to learn but I might just like my truck for the first time. It seems to stick gears better and when it does shift it is smooth and doesn't buck. We'll see but this is promising.

    That's the deal. Just crazy.

But, be on the lookout for a TSB because the 2016 to 2018 ATs are the only ones that have not had a recent update.

    :rofl::rofl:

I just noticed the stored faults in the 4wd ECU from messed up sequences using the 2LM.

And, look at that grouping on the tire pressures. I blame @Shellshock . :drevil:

I got my VFTuner cable yesterday and had some fun last night.
Created my ID and sent it in to Matt, then I played around with techstream a bit, THEN I flashed to the latest TSB for my truck that you guys were nice enough to post up here.
All I can say is WOW what a difference..its a different truck.
Overall smoother up / down shifting and no more hunting for a gear on the interstate.

Only problem is now I have all the PCA / VSC errors.
    I cleared them..twice with techstream.
But they come back as soon as start to move.
Any tips or thread links on where to start?

That's what I love about this forum..whatever the problem, someone else has probably already figured it out and posted about how to fix it here :)

    Between these 2 forums:
    Tacoma World for the Tacos
    IH8MuD for the 100's
..its a wonder I ever get any work work done.

I just googled "vsc errors after techstream ecu update" and saw a couple threads on ih8mud that may be useful, not sure, but that might be somewhere to start.

Common denominator seemed to be to try to drive the truck normally and see if they go away or not after a bit, idk if you've tried that yet.
