Apparently a 04B42 tune is still not available from vftune?

I dont see the main menu file in the downloaded link that you replace in the BIN folder. Is this a step you need to do for the 5k days to show up?

If you are talking about the key generator, antivirus programs will immediately delete it if they are not fully off when you open the ZIP file. Redownload it again after turning everything off.

Yes, though. That program will give you a key to get the 5,000day+ license.

What @Shellshock said. That stuff is for V12. It won't give you full access on your 2019.

V14 is in the 1st Post. V16 is there also, which is needed for 2021+. There are costs and waiting associated with that version though.

If you're speaking of a tune pack (SFOB, SFOB premium, dump tube files etc), I got the files from Mat a few weeks ago. Zendesk ticket.

Just a quick question before I go bricking my truck. For the Battery Maintainer step on my ECU update through TS, is this because the truck is only running 12v while the key is off? Can I just hook up my battery to a running cars battery via jumper cables? Or should I be looking for a battery tender that can run 13+ Volts.

Sort of. The ECU cutoff voltage is in the 10V range, I believe. So if your main battery drops below that level, it will brick. A shorted cell in a battery will put it below that level.

You can certainly use jumpers between two vehicles, but you might consider not having the other vehicle running just in case of a voltage spike?

Honestly, if your battery is good enough to listen to the radio on accessory for about a half hour and not struggle to start, the 10min flash at Ignition On should be no problem.

Since you're local, if you would like help with the TSB flash, lemme know.

Just make sure you turn off all the accessories drawing power (heated seats, radio, fan, lights) and you’ll be fine.

Personally I’ve never ran a battery maintainer. It seems to be an abundance of added protection. I’m new enough my A-hole still puckers when I flash.

I keep a battery tender connected during flashes and have never had a problem. I make sure to turn off all accessories and lights though.

Help me understand. For my 2018 i will be applying the latest update of 04A61. After that TSB do I follow by the 58-18 and 68-18?
