Make sure the file extension on the file you're trying to load is .CUW, not .ZIP.

Stupidly, Windows default is to hide the file extensions.

That's actually a very good point if you don't know to take the extra step to look at the file properties. Since I'm old and stupid when I unzipped the CUW files I put them in a separate folder all together so I didn't accidentally give myself an OMG moment while updating someone's truck :)

To see those go into Windows File Explorer and click on the [View] tab at the top, then check the box for "File name extensions" (ensure the application window is wide enough to see those options) -- recommended to NOT check the box for "Hidden items" because those are usually system files and messing with them can trash your computer.

Can anyone give me any pointer on how to unzip a file here? I'm not having any luck using winzip. I understand how to unzip a folder but not a pdf file.

Just as you replied, i realized how dumb I was for asking that and realized they were not in the tsb pdfs, after trying for hours. Thanks for the reply, sorry to tw for all my stupid questions. Guess I should have paid more attention in computers class in high school

Now you will right-click on that file you downloaded and select "Extract All". Put in on your desktop or somewhere easy to find.

Copy that, just successfully flashed to 04b14! Just have to reset lv’s and let it idle! I already can’t wait to get the ov files for the new ecu ID!

I put it off so so long now, only crappy dealers by me and I was apprehensive to do it myself, but so glad I did! My main issue before was this bug where under higher load at low rpm I would have practically no throttle, like starting off with a trailer or on a steep hill once you let the clutch all the way out, seems to have taken care of that and the acceleration is so much smoother. I have to learn how to drive normally since I got so used to letting off the gas at the points where it surged before. Can’t wait to try it out towing next week.

Haven't found a good thread to ask this in: "Does everyone who uses VFTuner update to the latest version as soon as it's available?" If you know a better thread to ask this in, please point me in that direction! Thanks!

No, pretty much dependent on if your current version supports your needs (like model year if you're doing Techstream customizations).

    There's a v17.xxxxx out there and I'm still using v16.20.023

Oh I'm retarded and can't read. My mind went to Techstream for some reason.

Yeah, VFTuner I update right away.
