I always said i wasnt going to spend a cent on this truck while in warranty. Guess not! Lol.

If they sold a kit to install a cable on the throttle body, I'd buy it, then proceed to remove all the warning light bulbs from the dash.

Driveablity is paramount with a manual and for this i will pay. (Plus a tactrix will pay for itself over time)

    I miss cable throttles.

Our 2001 saab had a throttle cable that would engage if there was an electronic TB failure. I was tempted to trip it, but there was a note that the car would go into limp mode if there was an ETB failure.

Any of you get the stumble in both 1st gear (when trying to take off aggressively) as well as right after shifting to second?

Yes. This is where I see it a lot. Pulling into traffic laying into the throttle and making the jump to second and through the rpms in second.

    EDIT: not any more!:) flashed!

Sounds like we're all in the same boat. Hope Toyota can get a TSB out soon that isnt a 'secret TSB' you have to do a song and dance for

Fun fact, when I test drove my truck with 2 miles, i hated how it drove. I chalked it up to not being broken in. I was very close to not buying it because of the boggy inconsistent acceleration.
It did get a bit better (better mpg and power) but some days it feels like there is a middle man randomly yanking my "throttle cable"

If anyone in Iowa needs the update, I’ve got it set up and ready to go. I’m in a lot of the surrounding states as well pretty frequently.
