He acted as if nothing was there. It even stated on my report I would pay for everything. I didn't have to pay but I also left disappointed. I would buy a cable and do it myself but I don't have a windows laptop either so the cost is quickly adding up

Maybe because the documentation says its for 6ATs only. It's pretty simple IMO.

Since my dealer won't do it, I'm wondering if my pro built on July 27, 2018 had it at the factory.

I'm getting the vibe (except in @304_Taco 's case) that it's best to tell em to look for an update than to try and get the tsb done.

I'm going to look the dude in the eye and tell him not to look into it, just to download it.

I like that strategy...not the route I personally took, but would be interested to hear the outcome

Simple except for the fact that it has MT ECU’s listed for an update and a health check verified that it is ready for an update. So not so simple. I haven’t had very much to complain about on my truck but I knew that if there was an updated ecu I would like to have it. I flashed my truck last night and the drivability is vastly improved. I would think that anyone that has a MT would like to have an update if one is available.

My cable just arrived. Got er done. Just drove around the area for a few minutes. Much better. Now I'm realizing how much I was compensating for this pos firmware. Seems like it has more pep and smoother too. :D

That was my approach and they didn't deny my request, he simply said there wasn't an update

I thought the same. I hope like hell it didn't take 3 hours to change a cabin filter and the oil but who knows

That's what scares me the most lol. After about 2ish hours he came out to say I was next in line for the computer.

Got a chance to do more long distance sustained driving. On my short trips after flashing mileage was way down from what I typically got on the same drives, but now I am noticing it is back to normal or even slightly improved.

I'm going to chalk it up to me getting used to the difference in driving (YOU MEAN I DON'T HAVE TO REV FIRST GEAR TO 3500 ANYMORE TO SHIFT TO SECOND?).

That was the biggest thing for me. Reving SO HIGH to be able to get into second. Also the choice of screaming in first or bogging in second for every right hand turn sucked.

After the update 1-2 shift it totally normal and I can comfortable take right hand turns in second.
