    I beg to differ. At the current situation the ECU will be outdated completely before I get mine done. Lol! I just have apprehension about doing it myself. Where the hell are the VA, MD, or DC manual owners at? Lol.

    Attention Utah folks! I went to Mark Miller Toyota today. I was very respectful and asked to speak to a service manager. I patiently waited and before I began, I thanked him for his time and proceeded to explain my drivability issues. I then told him about the TSB and how the bulletin header says automatic transmission only, but it lists manual transmission ECU calibrations. I then pulled the TSB out of my pocket and he said "You obviously know what you are talking about and have done your homework. Speak to the receptionist and make an appointment and we'll hook it up to the Techstream and see what a health check says."

    Absolutely floored at the response. Appointment is for Wednesday. I'll let you know how it goes!

    I believe everyone that updated used a real Tactrix cable either purchased directly or received as part of the OVT kit.

    One person tried an inexpensive VCI cable and came away finding communications problems just hooking up for TS diagnostics and customizations, not the risky ROM writing.
