Good to know, Victory over in Canton wouldn't flash the update on mine. Who's your service adviser?

I have heard that and have been wanting to see more of the east coast. I grew up in PA, but we didn't travel. Hell, I never saw the ocean until I moved here.

There are some epic roads in SE WA, ID, and eastern OR, most with narry a LEO. Take a peek at the Aufderheide Drive (over 70mi of forested twisties) or Rattlesnake Pass with a stop at Bogan's Oasis for ice cream in the middle. That's some motocamping at its finest. The Taco enjoyed some of it last weekend in south central WA. There is a plan to snag an enduro for fun and easy loading into the Taco!

Mine was built July 27, so I can be a test case. It doesn't seem to hang or stumble, but I only have about 700 miles on it.

My install is on 64bit, Windows 10. No issues at all with the software or the cable.

SA's name is Kan, I'm also on a first name basis with the service manager, Dave, he's very responsive and has made several issues right for me.

Jim Pattinson downtown did it for me. When I called down they said nothing was available but when they plugged in the update was there.

Went in today for the AC blower motor recall and told them I was experiencing a surging/bucking when accelerating through the gears but under the point of rpms that it goes to direct injection. They did the update! Oh, and I'm in a 6MT.

Hello everyone. A fellow Tacoma owner is helping me to update my 2018 DCSB manual transmission with TSB 58 and we keep getting these hang ups (see pictures). Anyone know what the issue might be with the 18's? The update worked on his 2016 DCSB Manual transmission just fine. Any advice is welcome. The program clearly recognizes the truck and the calibration, and the ignition was definitely turned off for 10 seconds or more each time we try.

Are you using an official Tactrix cable?

Did you pick the Tactrix connection from the dropdown menu?

I did my 2017 and a 2018 with no problems. The version of TS used on this thread updated the 2018, but couldn't connect for customizations afterward. We had to use Carista for that.

    Is the battery voltage solid?

I got my official Tactrix cable in the mail on Thursday, installed the TS linked from the thread. and ran the update.

Flawless. The update took less than 7 minutes on a cheap Win10 laptop. Updated from 04B10 to 04B13. I can feel a *huge* difference in the smoothness of acceleration.

There are two cal files. T-0033-18 is for the '16 & '17 model year trucks. T-0037-18 is for the '18 model year trucks. Be certain you're using the correct one.

I do not believe its an official Tactrix cable, but it is a professional cable from his place of work and not a knock off. Does it only work on 18's with Tactrix? I am not sure if we picked the drop down you speak of, where is that exactly? also do you have a link to purchase the actual Tactrix cable their site only shows a OBDII unit but no cable? I will have to find the version of Techstream you say is posted on this thread to confirm if it was the same version we used, but I am almost certain we used the newest version. Battery voltage was solid and we even connected a battery trickle charger to it when trying it for the 4th or 5th time because we thought the same thing. Sorry for all the questions, this thread got huge in just a few weeks.
