Does anyone know if the stock file used by OVT software will put the factory CVN back when you "flash back to stock" or not? I bought the software and Tactrix plug many many years ago and if I need to flash back to stock for any reason I would like to know if this checksum is written properly. Too bad Matt isn't on these forums any more..

The newest ones are correct. He has added them to the updated software. A few are still missing (04c30, and 04c21), but he said he will add them with the next updates.
The old ones are not the correct CVN.

I recall that youtube chick in San Diego got the ott done on her 3gen tacoma and swear the tuner told her it was undetectable….guess that’s not true. And you won’t find out for years, until it’s time to smog it.

Well, I would refrain from calling a person "super cool" after he diminishes others in order to sell stuff. I love nurses.

No list that ever seen or know of.

Pretty soon all California smog test stations are required to have a webcam so that CARB officials can audit the smog process at anytime they please.

Will I be able to request those updated tune files from him since he has completely moved away from individual tuner owners and fully embraced just the "pro" tuners...most likely because those are an unending revenue source. I originally bought the full tuning package a long time ago just to be able to tune my own truck and was expecting him to keep updating the tune files that come with the "tunes package" I also bought. Was sad to see this isn't going to happen and when the support forum went away it further showed the direction he was moving.

If you need the stock files they are part of the VFTuner install you'd need to be running. Did you ever migrate to VFTuner? If you need something else please clarify, we all want to help!

My question is referring to how only recent files have the factory checksum correctly computed in them to avoid gov't detection of changed ECU code. Since I bought the "tunes package" and have updated to the latest version (v1.7.5 iirc) that still supports the Tactrix cable (guess I'll never be upgrading the software again since on facebook Matt said that future versions will *not* support anything other than the wi-fi dongle) so wondering how to get the "final" factory tune for my original ECU code with the correct checksum in it.

Kinda upset that he's removing the code rather than adding to it, he could *easily* support both methods of ODBII connections...

Source of that information? That seems rather draconian.
