One other thing I forgot to mention but I took the truck over to the guy my dad knows and I've gotten to know and ask him if their was anything he could do about reinforcing the bumper to mount a winch inside. Because 4 little bolts r not going to be strong enough imo. Now granted he welded my sliders on and just helped me get the front bumper on the truck but when I took it to him the other day he said theirs really not a lot he could do. Imo I think he didn't want to mess with it but that's fine so as of right now the winch is in the back of the truck until I can figure something out on how to mount it. Thought about seeing if Budbuilt could reinforce it but first I'll gave to save up money after the purchase of this rear bumper I just got.

That's what I think too. They make them for show instead of what their actually for. Haha. Whenever I get some money saved back up I'm going to see if Budbuilt may can beef it up. Not to say they will be able too but it's worth a shot too see. Scott helped me out too when he sent a pm. He said his had the same gap. Something about ARB made it that way for flexing on the trails. Still it's driving me crazy. Haha. Maybe theirs a fix to it.

I don't know what's different about your bumper Nathan, but there is no reinforcement needed on an ARB to run a winch. The ARB is one of the most well built bumpers out there for use with a winch. Only thing I can think of is the one you bought had been modified somehow.

ARB bumper are definitely NOT just for show. They might not be the ideal "rockcrawling" bumper but it wasn't designed for rockcrawling. It's primary function is a solid winch point and protection from heavy impacts like animal strikes.

Also believe me when I tell you that the gap your talking about is a good thing. If you ever start taking your truck off road the body and frame will flex more than you think and if the bumper were any tighter to the body it would hit the body and damage paint, could bend sheetmetal or crack the grill.

    this might be useful.

I know ARB is stout. I checked out scott's awhile ago, but others are no where near the same quailty. The video is bad ass tho

I like the tube work! Idk how I feel about the mount/crossmember though. You said it was going to be a hybrid so some plating may change the whole look. Either way...
