Joe, which snorkel do you have and what part #?

Is there any other brand or style that'll work for the tacos?

if you want to go with safari snorkels then you have to purchase the first gen Tacoma snorkel and there is a conversion kit also that you have to purchase to snake it through the fender into the air box. Don't know the parts numbers but there are threads out there they show you what you have to do.

airflow america has come out with a snorkel specific to the 2nd gen. I believe spoonman (Rapier46 - CT4WD) in calgary has just installed one this year.
    http://www.airflowamerica.com/

another option is Ironman, they are just like TJM new to NA but been building parts for Toyota's for years in New Zealand and Australia. Cruisin offroad in Chilliwack is a dealer. I haven't heard from Jason about how well the snorkel works with the 2nd gens, he has to talk with Ironman cause Jason started with land cruisers and most of the Tacoma's they build for is for the hilux.

For you guys with air lockers. What did you install as new parts besides the locker itself? I'm sticking with stock gears till I lock the front.

Well good news for you than I can reduce the cost of your total setup grab my factory gears and third floor a local discount of 300

Than all you'll need is a locker and a rebuild kit

    I suggest using beartrax

Borla Catback Exhaust, Snorkel, 33s on either 16's or 18's, ARB Bumper, All Pro LT w/Walker Evan Shocks front and back, All Pro expedition leaf pack, 10,000lb Superwinch, Intake Manifold Spacer, Bed Rack with ARB RTT, Rotopack and Hi Lift mounted, Husky Liner mats and an air freshener from 1995.

You can usually get the SuperWinch LP10,000 for $360 at Princess Auto twice a year. Works damn good. Got it mounted on mine with the Solenoid remotely installed in the grill. And plenty to cable to use it in the cab.

I don't think it's horrible looking. The one nice thing is that you aren't cutting way down the fender just to dog leg it back up to the intake in the engine bay. However it does seem to stick up quite a bit compared to the others.

I am undecided. The Ironman one is way way cheaper. And I have their HO aircompressor. Used it a bunch, really really impressed with it.

Cheers man! How's the north treating you guys? Any flood warning for you guys?

And does this mean you're selling your current snorkel?
