You can cut the plastic on the snorkel, and "weld" it back together with a soldering iron and use strips of what ever you cut out as a filler, just set up a fan to blow the fumes away from you.

M8000, got 2. The front one is killer. Never had an issue.
The rear, I ran welder cable for power and ground but I think the length of the cables pulls to much for the battery and it kinda bogs down.
Quick spool, and whether they have a water proof control or not, I have my rear facing upside down with a hole drilled in the cover for drainage. Never a prob.

Run a dual battery setup and you won't see that issue

Concur. I run a charging system on the work truck. The next one will be dual for accessories and that will save the main battery so you are not stranded with a dead battery. Saved my ass a few times at work with the extra batteries

I've considered looking into the battery idea. Definitely on my to to list.

So joe why do you recommend the zeon? Why 10000lbs and not a 8000lbs? What's the number to bears shop? Tried google but there's no answer, must be the wrong number.

    tell Bear I sent you

and reason being a 10k winch, by the time you add all the extra weight we add to our truck well be just north of 5k, you get stuck in the mud and the 8k wont be able to pull you out, should always double for the winch

and I recoment the zeon, its a little pricey, but it is WARN the fully waterproof is the best thing theyve done for them

Unless your handy with snatch blocks and not afraid of a Lil cable snap.

Also, is there still a coffee meet tonight?

i like snatch blocks but sometimes its not viable, gotta think you automatically reduce you length by half, but than go from 10k to 20k!

Dave, if there's a coffee meet up, I won't be there. Not sure if it's a go or not.
