I am still living/working in the area for now (nisku), but my truck is back in Toronto already. Definitely going to check that meet, got to arrange rental for that day. If you are going to be there I'll find you!

 

Best place to buy some FN FX Pro wheels here in Edmonton? Anyone local have them or order them in? Or should I check out Krave or TacomaTown in Calgary area?

Anyone have a stock exhaust for a 2nd gen double cab long box in decent condition they would like to part with?

 

Doesn't help you I know but I have a new stock exhaust off a 3rd gen DC SB to get rid of

 

I looked into using a 3rd gen exhaust, cutting and welding pipe and flanges required. I can do it I just would rather not put that much effort into it.

 

If you get to that point I'd give it to ya for cheapy cheapy. Let me know

 

Wondering whom everyone in the Edmonton and area recommends to go to for 3rd Gen Tacoma parts/accessories like tonneau covers, roof racks, rock guards, lift kits/ installs and tires? Any TW discounts?

I use Krave in Calgary. Most selection/knowledge you'll find in AB. Ship right to your door in a day for a very reasonable price. I just got some #700 coils yesterday. $23 to ship to my door. Talk to Gary.

 

Sherwood Park Toyota....talk to Draper in parts. I got my wheels and 95% of my suspension from them. They can also get Prinsu stuff, CBI Offroad and they install lift/suspension and can do customer specific wheel alignments.

I agree that Krave is a great place....I got my Prinsu and a bunch of accessories for it from them.

 

Draper a Sherwood park Toyota is great to deal with, he can source just about anything you need. TEAOA Toyota Expedition association of Alberta should get you a bit of a discount, the club use to get one anyway.

4 wheel auto wholesale can get you anything you want to, they are great to deal with. Oil city cruisers, local land cruiser club is sponsored by them I believe, that might get you a bit of a discount.

Lots of off-road places should give a discount to NA4WD, they are a fairly large club around here.

 

I have some pretty new parts at home if anyone local is interested. Stock UCA's, Exhaust, 1 axle and a few other odds and ends I can't think of for I'm currently away at work

 

What are you guys running for tires and how do you like them? How is the tire noise?

I’m running duratracs love them when I’m off-road but not as much on road, they clean reasonably well in the Alberta clay I just don’t like the constant tire noise from them. Thinking about getting a second set of tires for daily driving and just swap out when I go off-roading. 90% of my driving is highway and around town.

 

I just put on some Duratracs a couple weeks ago for a less aggressive tire and year round functionality. Coming from STT Pros and Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

If you're looking for something a quieter/smoother look at the falken wildpeak at3w. I ran them on my ZR2 last year. I think they'd fit your driving habits.

 

I’m considering the Falkland A/T or the Toyo A/T tires. Would be interested in other if people have good experience with them.

 

Duratracs in the summer, Studded Nokian Hakka’s for the winter.

 

I put Duratracs on my truck when it had 250kms on it. Ran those for 80k before I sold them. They got louder when they wore but overall they were great. At that point my truck was used as a daily driver.

Now I’m running Dick Cepek Extreme County in 255/85-16. They are a straight mud tire and since new they are about as loud as my worn Duratracs were. Truck is not a daily driver anymore.

The Copper ST Maxx is supposed to be quite too. Heavy though.

That’s the same setup I run for summer and winter currently.

 

I’m thinking about the AT3Ws in the spring. Where did you buy them in Alberta?
